What is a Guided Customer?

An end user who completes a scan and receives a product recommendation. Failed scans are excluded from billing.

Is the setup fee refundable?

The setup fee covers one-time onboarding — API configuration, catalogue synchronisation, sandbox environment, and go-live support. It is non-refundable once provisioning begins.

Standard vs custom integration?

Standard setup applies to all tiers: API configuration, OAuth, catalogue sync, sandbox, and go-live support. Custom covers non-standard environments, CRM/POS system integration, custom analytics, and white-label deployment.

Annual pricing?

Annual contracts are billed upfront and include 2 months free. Overages are invoiced monthly in arrears.

Tier migration?

Move between tiers at any time. Upgrades apply immediately; the new per-customer rate and monthly minimum take effect from the next billing cycle.

Supported currencies?

All prices are in USD. Local invoicing is available in ZAR, NGN, and KES.

Uptime guarantees?

99.9% uptime SLA at Enterprise. Sub-2.5s latency is contractually guaranteed at Growth and Enterprise tiers.

Available outside Africa?

Yes. Oyster deploys globally. Data residency is configurable per region, including AWS af-south-1 for South African sovereignty.
